Terms of Service & Platform Governance

Effective Date: Season 2026 β€’ Governing Rules for Data Access, Scrutineering Records, and Research Verification

1. Open Evidence Mandate & Anti-Hallucination Policy

Robot Arena is an open research, developer, and sports record-keeping platform. All competition metrics, timing logs, and hardware specifications published on this platform are governed by a strict evidence mandate. Unsubstantiated manufacturer marketing claims, unverified autonomy representations, and promotional hype are prohibited from being presented as official benchmarks.

Core Repository Contract

Every benchmark requires demonstrable provenance (referee scorecards, dyno tests, laser timing barriers, or peer-reviewed publications) linked to persistent source records.

2. Data Permissibility & Public Access License

Canonical data schemas, benchmark scores, timing logs, and hardware parameters are published under open access terms for academic research, fair journalism, and technical development. You are free to inspect, analyze, and cite Robot Arena data provided that appropriate attribution and source provenance IDs are retained.

3. Fair Play, Disqualifications & Correction Protocol

Official tournament results published on Robot Arena reflect primary scrutineering determinations. In the event of an official league disqualification (e.g. false start, rule infringement, motor power tampering), historical records are preserved and marked with immutable correction logs rather than being erased.
